About Father Ronnie Walls

Married, with three children, Ronnie Walls gave up his post as the Church of Scotland minister for Logie Easter Parish in Easter Ross in the winter of 1948. Together with his wife, Helen, he was received into the Catholic Church at Sancta Maria Abbey, Nunraw in East Lothian.

Following the death of Helen in 1974, he went to Rome to study for the priesthood. He was ordained on the 30th of June 1977 by Bishop Conti of Aberdeen in Saint Peter's Church, Edinburgh. He served in a number of parishes in the Diocese of Aberdeen as Parish Priest and finally settled in semi-retirement to serve the people of Orkney, a return to his family roots. He died in Kirkwall, aged 89 on the 2nd of January 2010.
